PittPharmacy’s Beta Kappa Chapter of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc. was awarded Outstanding Chapter of the Year, the fraternity’s highest accolade to collegiate chapters, at the 57th Grand Council Convention in Denver, Colorado. The brothers of Beta Kappa were commended on their devotion to the fraternity and to the profession of pharmacy. Members accepted the award from more than 110 collegiate chapters across the nation. This is the fourth time in the chapter’s history that Beta Kappa was recognized as the Outstanding Chapter of the Year (2002, 2007, 2013, and 2015).
Megan Dunlop (Class of 2017), left, was awarded a Kappa Psi Foundation Scholarship from the Grossomanides family during the International Grand Council Convention.
Karen Hoang (Class of 2016), right, was elected to the International Executive Committee as Collegiate Member at Large. Hoang will serve on the executive board for two years. This marks the first time a Beta Kappa brother was elected to an international office since Pitt Alum Dave Maszkiewicz was elected as Grand Regent in 2005.
