Susan J. Skledar, RPh, MPH, FASHP has been re-appointed to the national 2016-17 Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) Measure Update Panel. This panel has the responsibility to review the PQA-endorsed national healthcare quality improvement measures related to medication use, and ensure they are aligned with latest evidence in the literature. These medication measures include areas such as medication safety, adherence, and appropriateness of use, and are used in the health insurance marketplace and by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to ensure quality of care for patients.
Skledar is the associate director of experiential learning and professor in the pharmacy and therapeutics department at PittPharmacy.
