PittPharmacy_JustinSaver._008PittPharmacy student, Justin Saver (Class of 2018), has been selected as a 2016-17 Pharmacy Quality Alliance-CVS Health Foundation Scholar.

This scholarship program, in its inaugural year, supports and recognizes student excellence in projects centered on quality-related initiatives; encourages, promotes, and improves education surrounding quality measures and value-based models of care; and fosters student interest and engagement in the development of quality-related initiatives.

Saver will attend the PQA Leadership Summit in November 2016, and present results of his project at the PQA Annual Meeting in May of 2017. Saver’s work recently was recognized at the 2016 PQA meeting related to “Use of PQA Performance Measures to Quantify Opioid Misuse and Risks in Medicare.”
