PittPharmacy’s Taylor Watterson, (Class of 2017), presented her research “Implementing Medication Synchronization in a Chain Pharmacy: Can Pharmacy Interns Play a Role?” as a podium presentation on August 10, 2016 at the 17th Midwest Social and Administrative Pharmacy Conference. The conference, hosted by the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is held every two years to foster professional development of graduate students and trainees in graduate programs and to facilitate dialogue between faculty with research interests in the pharmaceutical economic, social and administrative sciences.
Watterson’s study aimed to describe: (1) pharmacy interns’ perspectives regarding best practices for the successful implementation of a medication synchronization program; and (2) how participating in this experience impacted their academic and career directions. Watterson was one of a select group of PharmD students presenting at the conference.
