Pamela Smithburger, PharmD, MS, BCPS has been appointed liaison between the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) and the National Quality Forum (NQF). Smithburger’s appointment comes as a result of her leadership skills in quality and safety in the ICU and in within the Society of Critical Care.
NQF serves as an advisor to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Congress for recommendations on healthcare measurement issues. Many consider NQF endorsed measures as the gold standard for healthcare measurement in the United States.
Smithburger is an associate professor in the pharmacy and therapeutics department at PittPharmacy.
