PittPharmacy’s Kappa Psi won the Blue Star Red Carpet Award for Best Educational Program on the University of Pittsburgh campus for their project  “Breaking Bad in the Lounge” at the Blue Stars Red Carpet event on April 13, 2014. The Blue Star Red Carpet Award is a University wide recognition program sponsored through the Office of Student Affairs. This is the first time the School of Pharmacy has won such a prestigious award.

The project involved Kappa Psi members educating undergraduate students in campus residence halls on the dangers of misusing prescriptions drugs. Brother Liana Mandel (class of 2015), the Patient Care Committee Chair, coordinated the project.

PittPharmacy’s Rho Chi was also nominated for their “Posters, Professors and Progress”. Rho Chi was a finalist for the Blue Stars Red Carpet Award Program.
